Simons has been a Canadian fashion destination since 1840. The family owned business has always been known for offering the most sought-after styles from the world’s design capitals. Simons is also known for customer service excellence, providing a level of service that is second to none.
Every Simons store is a tribute to architecture and art. The first Simons store opened in 1840 when John Simons opened a small shop in Quebec City, selling dry goods and imported wares. To ensure that he could offer Customers the latest goods from Europe, John made over 70 trans-Atlantic trips by boat. In 1870, he moved his shop to Cote de la Fabrique street (one of Quebec’s oldest streets) where it remains today, along with La Maison Simons head office.
This store is especially significant because in 2018, it made history as the first net zero store in Canada, with geothermal wells and solar panels managing the air conditioning, heating and power supply. The store is an unprecedented example of modernity. Like many Simons locations, this store also features the work of local artists.
Today there are over 15 Simons stores across Canada in major Canadian cities such as Edmonton, Montreal, Mississauga, Calgary, Ottawa and Gatineau.
